Meet John Duke Logan Entertainment in Hanover

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Logan.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.

I first became interested in magic when I was attending my aunt’s birthday party and I created a magic trick to entertain myself since I was bored. After experimenting with a few ideas, I started creating my own tricks with everyday objects such as cards and coins. A few days later I filmed myself performing some of my creations and posted videos online.

A talent agency contacted me asking for my phone number after seeing the videos. They told me just based off the videos I submitted, he was impressed with my creativity and saw potential in me for the future. Since my face wasn’t shown in the videos, he thought I was a bit older than what he expected. After numerous conversations, I signed a contract with the company becoming the youngest “creative consultant” they ever hired. Everyone else working for the company was over 25 years old, while I was only 12 at the time.

Fast forward, I now tour the country. I had my own show on Patriots.com where I would perform magic to the different players. I also performed magic on America’s Got Talent, presented at the Forbes Live Summit, published two books, and was invited to be a TEDx Speaker for three different events throughout the country.

My favorite thing is presenting keynotes on creativity with magic integration for leadership conferences. My ultimate message is to always remember that ‘impossible’ is just a word.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As a professional magician and keynote speaker, you must test out new material to see if the audience liked it. I would say the biggest challenge is the behind-the-scenes work of creating new material whether that be for the show or marketing purposes.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about John Duke Logan Entertainment – what should we know?
John Logan is a keynote speaker and professional magician. During his presentations, he demonstrates what entrepreneurs can learn from entertainers regarding the creativity process to show that ‘impossible’ is just a word in your personal and professional life.

The media nicknamed him the “Team Magician” for the New England Patriots in 2017 after he hosted a weekly show on Patriots.com. He would perform magic to different players and the segment would be showcased to over seven million fans on all major social media platforms. Towards the end of the season, Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady, mentioned him in his press conference which made national headlines.

His successes have been evident as he was invited by three different TEDx curators to share his keynote on a TEDx Stage. Past performances include numerous leadership conferences, a creativity workshop with Kevin Harrington from the hit television-show “Shark Tank”, performing on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, and being a featured speaker at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Boston (Ashton Kutcher, Lindsey Vonn, and Tyler Oakley were among others in the lineup).

John has been performing magic for the past 15 years, however over the past five years, he would consider himself more of a researcher. During his keynotes, he demonstrates the connection between the art of magic & the world of entrepreneurship. He incorporates different magic routines and strategies (from primary and secondary research) within the show and explains his five-stage brainstorming process called the “Magician-Entrepreneurial Journey.”

Attendees have said that because of the magic integration and audience interaction, they are extremely impressed with not only the value of the content, but the entertainment aspect of it as well, which makes the presentation unique.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
