Meet Jillian Scola of Cape Super Moms in North of Boston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Scola.

Jillian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Cape Super Moms is the brainchild of Kara Gallagher and myself. When we met four years ago at Crossfit Cape Ann, we realized we both had a passion for writing. We have a lot in common and just as many differences, so we thought – why not start a blog?!

As a former journalist, my career was put on hold when my son was born. So, I’m excited to be writing creatively again!

Cape Super Moms has been an amazing opportunity for me to connect with other moms on the North Shore. Our blog is a great way to talk about our struggles and celebrations of parenthood.

Has it been a smooth road? What was the biggest struggle along the way?
It’s been pretty smooth for us! The biggest struggle was actually launching the blog! It took way longer than we thought.

We’d love to hear more about your blog.
We are two moms living on Cape Ann doing our best to raise our kids while occasionally raising a little hell. We have a lot in common and just as many differences. We really dig that about each other.

Our life mottos include catchy phrases about being nice, working hard, the occasional swear word and something about sunsets and sunrises.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Living on the North Shore is great! We have access to so many amazing outlets. I’m super active and it’s amazing to have access to the beach, mountains, the oceans and so much more. I’m a coach at Crossfit Cape Ann and have met so many incredible people at CFCA. It is a supportive community who has been crucial in my personal development over the last six years.
