Meet Jennifer Bonito of J.Bonito Creative in Salem

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Bonito.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I had been working in the 9-5 design world for over 9 years and always had a few side projects going at the same time. I wondered what it might be like to work for myself and just do the side projects as a full time job but was always too scared or nervous to jump on the opportunity. In January of 2018, I was presented with the right time and circumstances to go out on my own and decided “why not?!” As much as running your own business has its ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I have met so many amazing new people along this journey and love working with and for each and every one of them. I love what I do every day and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Has it been a smooth road?
Surprisingly, it has been fairly smooth! All new businesses will have their ups, downs, ebbs and flows but I feel that I have had a pretty good go of it so far. I am lucky to be surrounded with a slew of positive people that have different strengths and are able to support and teach me along the way, which has certainly helped! Trying to come up with a process for my day-to-day and all the administrative stuff that no one likes to do has definitely been interesting but it’s still a work in progress!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with J.Bonito Creative – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
J.Bonito Creative is a full service graphic design & web development creative studio. I can basically work on any design or front-end development project that you can come up with! I have experience working in all different areas of the design and development world and love the different projects that come in. I offer anything from a full branding and logo design to a full website project (WordPress is my forte) to digital whitepapers, print design, email templates, and more! I find that I have the best of both worlds in being both a creative designer and a web developer. I am able to make things beautiful and make them functional at the same time.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the coastline! Anywhere from the Cape Beaches to the Boston Skyline to the Rocky Cape Ann coast, I love them all. I love living right near the ocean while also having Boston a short ride away. I moved to Boston for college and have lived all over the Boston area. I continue to find new ways to love all that the area has to offer. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything I dislike about Boston and the surrounding areas!
