Meet Jeff and Jessica Williams of Williams Automotive in Randolph

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff and Jessica Williams.

Owner Jeff Williams founded Williams Automotive Inc. in 2005 with the help of Walter Wentzell, longtime owner of Auto Craft Inc., another automotive shop located on 685 North Street in Randolph, MA. Jeff began Williams Automotive Inc. by renting space in Walter’s shop, and the two shop owners ran their businesses side-by-side. (In fact, Williams Automotive and Auto Craft Inc. are still housed in the same building.)

Jeff and Walter developed a very close relationship over the years. Sadly, Walter passed away in September 2009, but Jeff carries on his tradition of honest work and great customer service. Jessica joined the shop in 2007, as office manager and service writer.

As of February 2014, Jeff and Jessica are the new owners of Mr. Wires Auto Electric in Quincy, MA. They are proud to continue the tradition of Jimmy Richman (aka “Mr. Wires”) and his family by running this great local shop.

Jeff’s love of working on cars drives him to continue to improve Williams Automotive Inc. every day. That means ongoing training, coursework, and testing. He has numerous ASE Certifications along with many other certifications from seminars and training classes he has taken over the years.

Jeff and Jessica feel they run a very honest and trustworthy business. Jeff has built an auto repair shop with a great reputation, and he prides himself on providing professional service. They will never charge a customer for any unnecessary repairs!

Fun Fact: They actually have a sign in our shop that reads, “Through our door walks the world’s finest people: Our Customers – Our Friends!”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think it goes with the territory to say there have definitely been struggles however we feel that we haven’t had the struggles that other shops have had. We have grown a pretty reputable business & have a great clientele that we look forward to continue growing. We have our slow months & sometimes slower weeks but it’s the nature of the beast.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Williams Automotive, Inc. story. Tell us more about the business.
Jeff Williams grew up in Stoughton, MA. He developed a love for cars early on and was always tinkering with something in the driveway. His father, Skip, owned his own automotive repair shop for most of his adult life, and as a result, Jeff spent many days going to work with his dad. Jeff went on to graduate from Southeastern Regional Voc-Tech in South Easton.

After graduating from high school, he immediately continued his career in the automotive field, working with numerous businesses over the years before deciding to follow in his father’s footsteps and open his own auto repair shop.

Jessica is other half of Williams Automotive Inc. She handles all the day–to–day operations, from accounting and billing to scheduling appointments and estimates. Jessica grew up in Canton, MA and has been working in the business since 2007. Jessica feels very strongly that in today’s day and age, you need to trust the technician who is working on your vehicle. She strives to achieve this trust every day!

Jeff & I have built an amazing family business. We have 4 handsome boys: Derek; 19 a freshman attending UMass Dartmouth Brett; 15 who is a sophomore at Oliver Ames High School in Easton, MA Kyle; 15 is a freshman attending Bristol Plymouth Tech in Taunton, MA [he is in the automotive field] and last but definitely not last Dylan; 13 who is in 7th grade at Nichols Middle School in Middleboro, MA where we live. We have had a great support system thru the years!
