Meet Jamie Koll and Dani Kleinman of GirlsWhoEat in Boston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Koll and Dani Kleinman.

Jamie, Dani, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Dani is originally from NY, and Jamie is from Boston! We met as students at Northeastern University in 2012 when we both joined the same sorority (Dani is actually Jamie’s little sister). We quickly bonded over our shared love of food and dining out, so we decided to eat our way through our restaurant bucket lists together, and GirlsWhoEat was born. Jamie currently lives in NYC, but travels to Boston often, and Dani currently lives in London!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We started our food Instagram because of our love of food and the fact that we went out to eat a lot and would take pictures of our food. We never thought Instagram and social media would turn into what it is today! It is amazing how people are making businesses out of their accounts. The only challenge we now face is how many food-based Instagram accounts there are and making sure that we stick out and continue to grow our following with our original content!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about GirlsWhoEat – what should we know?
We specialize in original food photos on Instagram. We partner with restaurants and brands in NYC, Boston, London, and around the USA to showcase delicious food and food related companies! We have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of brands, some of which we never thought we could when we first started the account! What sets us apart is the fact that we never repost photos and all photos are taken by us! We also can discover delicious food in different cities (since we currently live in different countries) and we love to showcase food when we travel, which is a big part of both of our lives.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Organization is key! We always make sure to answer all comments that we see, messages, and emails in a timely manner!

Passion, our love of food drives us, and we enjoy building relationships with restaurants, fellow food bloggers, & PR representatives! We love meeting and working with so many unique people. Authenticity, all original content and photos taken by us!
