Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Crossman.
Greg, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Complete Game to provide an alternative to athletes and active individuals in need of physical therapy. The primary settings I saw for PT were clinics with small exam rooms and small areas for exercise that had more of a doctor’s office feel or large corporate style clinics that feel more like a factory. I combine a small, open, training room style clinic with expert, individualized care.
My background is 20 years of experience as a physical therapist practicing in outpatient sports orthopedics. I have an extensive background as a baseball coach, coaching at the youth, high school and international level with USA Baseball and experience as strength and conditioning specialist. I wanted to combine all of these experiences and use the extensive network of coaches, trainers and doctors I have accumulated to provide the full continuum of care to my patients and ensure that they return fully to the sports or activities they love.
At Complete Game, we treat every athlete like an individual and every individual like an athlete!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Going into private practice is always a struggle. Though many of my colleges have chosen to open “cash-based” clinics who don’t take insurance I have decided to work within the insurance system and take all major insurance carriers. Getting credentialed by the insurance companies was a long, difficult process and probably the most difficult aspect of opening this clinic.
Complete Game Physical Therapy – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
At Complete Game, we help athletes of all ages return to the sports and activities they love without missing valuable playing time or losing their competitive advantage. We are truly patient-centered, we listen to what each patient’s goals are and develop an individualized plan of care to reach those goals with each patient. Once you come to Complete Game you are part of our family, we love receiving a calls, texts or emails from former patients letting us know how they are or asking us a question. We love that we can continue to be a resource for them.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Every time a patient refers a friend or family member to us for care.
