Today we’d like to introduce you to George Barrett.
George, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business adventure to spread awareness for the treatment of functional intestinal disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Functional Dyspepsia. Many patients are unaware that safe and effective treatment for these disorders is available. Over 10 years ago I began thinking outside the box by developing an effective treatment for IBS using a combination of short term antibiotics followed by long term probiotic use. I published two abstracts. “Xifaxan in the treatment of IBS, a pilot study.” Metronidazole and effective treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. My website contains testimonials from many successfully treated patients.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes it was a slow start trying to get my webpage to appear on the first page of a Google search for treatment of IBS. I know see patients from many New England states and others.

I am a physician who specializes in gastroenterology particularly the treatment of Functional Intestinal Disorders. I am proud of successfully treating many patients who previously suffered for many years with these disorders allowing them to lead normal lives.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My ability to listen to patient’s symptoms, correctly diagnosing their condition and customizing a treatment plan for them. After listening to many patient stories of their silent suffering with symptoms I have developed such compassion for them as well as a desire to help better their lives thru my treatment.
