Meet Fadayz of Self Expression Center in Somerville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fadayz.

From early on, Fadayz had dreams of helping others realize their full potential through self-expression. His drive began in the foster care system of Connecticut as a child in need of a positive outlet and continued on into adulthood as a man with a passion to help others look past their circumstances to achieve their goals. Through music, dance and motivational speaking, Fadayz is able to reach both children and adults like no one else. As a self-taught street dancer, motivational speaker, Fadayz brings his own unique form of self-expression that inspires others to be who they really are.

Need motivation? Fadayz can inspire any age range with his interactive dance performances and motivational speeches. Having performed at a number of schools, colleges and other events, Fadayz brings a professionalism that is unmatched.

At the Self Expression Center in Somerville, MA, Fadayz has created a safe place for all age ranges to learn street dance, take DJ lessons, practicing self-confidence through personal training to become your best you! Come on by and see what Fadayz and The Self Expression Center are cooking.

Has it been a smooth road?
I feel every start-up has its obstacles. As far as my business goes, it took three months just to get the doors open all the while rent had to be paid. The list goes on and on from promotion to getting people in the door,

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Self Expression Center story. Tell us more about the business.
As far as I know the center is the first of its kind.

What can the Self Expression Center offer you? For starters, we offer a first class DJ service to make your wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah or other event truly memorable. Everyone on the team has an infectious energy and passion for what they do best.

Besides top notch DJ services, the Self Expression Center offers a wide variety of other services to feed your creative needs. From dance lessons in authentic house, popping, street dance and reggae to personal training, the Center has classes for groups and private lessons for most age ranges. We also have karaoke and open mic events. Interested in learning to be a DJ? We offer classes for adults and children! We also offer a one of a kind kids jam event hosted by Dj Mac twice a month.

Our overall mission at The Self Expression Center is to become a nonprofit organization. Ideally, we would like to move into a 3000sq ft space and ultimately become the Mecca for Self Expression.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
With all the new technology, self-expression is starting to fall by the wayside.
Very few youth play outside any more.
Adults rarely speak to each other at all if any more.
Everyone is typing away on their phones and those once in a lifetime moments are being missed.

The mission is to do our part to get the face to face conversations flowing again as well as hosting community events that bring people to see all we have in common.
