Meet Eric Rollo of Eric Rollo Real Estate Team – William Raveis Real Estate in Back Bay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Rollo.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began my career in real estate in 2005, while still in college. I’ve always had a keen interest in real estate after moving a couple of times in high school – genuinely enjoying the search for the right fit. I began my career at a boutique firm that specialized in investment properties and condo conversions before branching out and starting my own company. When I moved into Boston proper to attend graduate school at Northeastern I began working with more clients in the city, eventually choosing to join William Raveis Real Estate based on their commitment to innovation, growth, team-building, and entrepreneurship. Since joining Raveis, I’ve become one of the top-producing agents in the Boston office and have expanded my team to five agents and am currently interviewing administrative/marketing candidates.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with any road, there were bumps and challenges. I graduated college right as the market was crashing, which is how I ended up at Northeastern, but with this came an opportunity to expand my knowledge base and pick up valuable tools that have helped me grow my business further and faster.

There are also challenges with expansion. All of my hires have been accidental; however there seems to always be that feeling that “No one can do it as well as I can.” I’ve struggled with letting go and delegating to others, but by standardizing and systemizing processes and trainings we’re truly growing into a very successful team.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Eric Rollo Real Estate Team – William Raveis Real Estate – what should we know?
We are a residential real estate team in the Greater Boston area that specializes in the sale and leasing of properties throughout the city and in other areas such as Melrose, Malden, Arlington, Brookline, Cambridge, Somerville, and Milton. Our team really prides ourselves on our commitment to our clients, our utilization of technology to get our sellers top dollar in the shortest amount of time, and our willingness to help each other learn and grow in what is traditionally a cutthroat industry. What sets us apart is our willingness to work with clients in all aspects of Greater Boston real estate, from the young professional looking for an affordable studio apartment, to college students going through the rental process for the first time, to first-time homebuyers looking for a condo in the city, to those families looking for more space or to downsize in or around Boston. We also utilize an enhanced assessment process to confirm our clients’ needs and lifestyle in order to quickly narrow available listings to find the best fit quickly and seamlessly.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My wife Valerie was a huge cheerleader. When I was making the decision to join Raveis, she was the catalyst that pushed me towards the firm and also towards expanding my team in an efficient and effective manner. My finance professor, Dr. Michael Melton, was also someone that always pushed me to follow my dreams. Members of the Realtor Magazine’s “30 Under 30” community have been great resources – especially during my expansion. In implementing the new team format, I would be remiss not to mention my team members Torin Hanlon, Jason Adams, Dante Bruzzese and Everett Palozej for their patience and willingness to learn and collaborate as we continue to implement new systems.
