Meet Elissa Shoreman of Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio in North Shore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elissa Shoreman.

Elissa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
From the first time I stepped onto my yoga mat, I have never stopped practicing. It was a connection to something unexplainable that I have never felt before. It kept me coming back for more and more. As months and years went on, I fell deeper in love with the practice and with the person I was becoming. It was like each time I practiced I was getting reintroduced to myself, my heart, my soul. I was guided by incredible teachers along my path who have so kindly set me free. This freedom is where Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio was born from.

Buddhaful Souls was my first baby. I opened BSYS 15 days after I turned 25 years old, it means everything to me.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As the practice of yoga constantly reminds us, we must find balance. Which is very challenging when you are a wife, mother of two small children, business owner, as well as teaching yoga to children and adults. As I say it is challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding. So, I will continue to learn my balance…

We’d love to hear more about your business.

We just celebrated our 8th Year Anniversary!

BSYS is a heart-center studio and community offering an eclectic blend of children and adult yoga classes in my hometown of Rowley, Ma.

Our teachers are dedicated to the practice and have much love and wisdom to share. I suggest you take a class from each and see for yourself! You truly cannot go wrong.

The community is all I could ever ask for. It is a beacon of light. During our 8-year celebration, I shared with the community of how grateful I am for each one of them, to have the opportunity to get to know each one of my students and their story, their family, their struggles is humbling to say the least.

I bow with the deepest respect for those who choose to walk into the studio for their first time as it can be very intimidating. We love and appreciate all shapes and sizes. Each body is made to move differently, so we always teach modifications. Everyone is welcome in our community. Two of our most popular workshops is our monthly Candlelight Restorative Yoga + Bodywork and our Yinstorative + Sound Healing Workshop.

If you are new to the practice and the studio we offer an incredible deal, 30 days of yoga for only $30. Or we offer a 6-week Beginner Yoga Series for only $69.00. Both great ways to try out the practice and the studio without a huge investment.

Our Children’s Program is very well known for our quality classes. We offer weekly classes for all ages, Monthly Family Yoga, Mother + Daughter Mini Yoga Retreats, and Yoga Movie Nights just for children aka Parent’s Night Out! We also offer a great alternative to week long summer camps, we offer weekly day camps with themes like Glow in the Dark Yoga Party, Spa Day Yoga Retreat, Magical Unicorn Yoga + Craft, Superhero Yoga, Yoga + Mindful Arts and Crafts, Yoga + Relaxing Slime Making, Yoga, Tie Dye + Games, Girl’s Yoga Empowerment + Smoothie Making!
