Today we’d like to introduce you to Darryn Adams.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born in Brockton, Massachusetts. I am in love with all of the arts. Started within the 4th grade, I have been fascinated with the euphonious world of music. I started to play with one of my favorite’s instruments, the violin in elementary school. The following year, I was immersed in singing in my school’s choir. Photography truly starts for me in middle school with my tiny, prepaid flip-phone. It was a warm, sun-kissed afternoon and I was in the company of my mother, friend, and her father. I had taken a photo of the just on top of my mother’s rustic Honda car. I had peaked both my mother and my friend’s father at the image that I took (although referring back to that photo was not the best), and progressed into the photographer that I am today and constantly improving.
Please tell us about your art.
What I do mostly and currently is photography. My favorite type of photography is fashion and beauty. I strive to take those images any chance that I can. Collaboration/teamwork is a key component in these types of imagery. I am trying to make sure that I can do my part and make people who are representing at all or enough in the industry of Fashion. For instance, Darker skinned models that have been consistently been neglected in the media and only deemed in a certain manner. I like to try working with quality creatives of color first as they are not as well represented and few in numbers whenever I can.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I would think so. It
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I am mostly active on Instagram and post new work on that application. People can support me by sharing my work (with the proper credits of myself and the team that helped the image(s) be what they are) and requesting my services.
