Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle White.
Danielle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m eight, sitting Indian style on the bathroom floor, watching my mother apply her makeup. I am transcended… It took me years to fully understand this dance women do. Every day I am still brought to awe by the art that is, femininity. Falling in love with self-care, is genuinely the story here. My name is Danielle and I am the owner of Summit Ink&Beauty.
Obtaining a license in the esthetic field was my first footprint into the beauty industry. I spent a few years exploring my possibilities and working diligently to build a client base. I was making my own products and working in different spas, which ultimately left me feeling unfulfilled. I had developed an individual style in my craft and struggled trying to fit the mold of what a traditional Spa had to offer.
When I first saw Microblading and cosmetic tattooing on the rise, I knew immediately this is what I wanted. After searching six months for a program, I landed at Look Image Academy in Newport, RI. After a lot of hard work and obsession, here I am.
At Summit Ink&Beauty we pride ourselves on our down to earth vibe and helping our clients to feel beautiful. Semi-permanent makeup, or cosmetic tattooing, is a wonderful way to check any insecurity at the door. Cosmetic tattooing doesn’t always replace makeup, it does however provide natural enhancement. Come hell, high water, or Summit, our clients can live worry proof.
I think it’s my responsibility in this industry to help remind my clients that no one really needs a service to achieve confidence. It’s our prerogative as humans to choose all our choices in the realm of self-love and care. Seeing my clients leave our studio filled with light, is what this is all about.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. It is incredibly intimidating entering this industry. There are certain expectations on what it is to be beautiful. After breaking down personal barriers, I realized I can define beauty in any way I choose. The current rise in women is breathtaking to witness. There is no wrong or right way to do your hair, or apply makeup, or not apply makeup. All these things are genuinely a choice. and I think that’s what places Summits overall vibe in this market. Celebrating uniqueness and celebrating choice, is what fuels our fire.

Summit Ink&Beauty is a cosmetic tattoo studio that specializes in Microblading. What sets us apart from other studios is our wide range of clientele. We love how diversified our client base is. We feel so lucky.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
A favorite childhood memory is the feeling of being free. I think as we age, society can make us feel contained to a certain set of rules or guidelines. Authenticity lies in the soul of every wild child.
