Meet Danielle Engel of For the Love of Paws

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Engel.

Danielle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a teacher full time but I also have a passion for working with animals. As wedding season commenced once again, I noticed how many couples did not have their pets at their weddings.

I have two of the cutest pups of my own and could never imagine my wedding day without them by my side. This led to the birth of For the Love of Paws. I wanted all couples to be able to have the option of having their pets be a part of their wedding and I wanted to help make that possible.

Has it been a smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles is making it known to couples that having their pet be a part of their wedding day IS an option. I work double time to meet with wedding planners, photographers, be featured in bridal shows and more to help make couples aware of their options.

I have found that most couples wouldn’t even think about having their fur baby at their wedding until they have met with me. Once couples hear about the stress-free service I provide, they are eager to have their pet be a part of their special day.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the For the Love of Paws story. Tell us more about the business.
For the Love of Paws is a wedding planning pet service. This means I will help to incorporate your pet into any aspect of your engagement and/or wedding that you would like. I even help coordinate proposals! What sets me apart from other wedding services is that I specialize in PETS! Your fur baby is my number one priority.

I work with the wedding planner, venue, photographer and more to ensure my couples have the most amazing wedding day. I provide complimentary chauffeur service to and from the venue as well as make sure your pet is groomed and dressed to the nines. Your pet will be prepped and ready for any task is asked of them, fed and watered throughout the entire day and most of all loved and treated like they were their own.

I provide training sessions for those pets that need a little extra support before the big day. I will make sure your pet can walk down the aisle or stand next to you at the altar with ease. Most of all, I am there to take care of any and all dog duties. Having a trained professional on your wedding day can make all of the difference in the world.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years?  Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
My vision for the next 10 years would be to have my own office space to hold my complimentary meet and greets as well as my training sessions. I want to continue to build my client base and just enjoy working weddings with adorable pets!
