Meet Daniela Femia of Salon Glo in Medford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Femia.

Daniela, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started going to hair school 20yrs. ago. I’m a 3rd generation hairstylist/owner in my big Italian family. Was trained by my oldest sibling down south in Tampa, Florida for 18months then was given my own station. I moved back to Boston in 2006 where I worked for 13yrs. till I opened Salon Glo. It was almost 2yrs.ago Salon Glo was born. It’s my baby, I love what I do. It’s amazing how u can change someone’s day. It really doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in this industry, you’re as good as your last client. Consistency a customer relations is key. Communicate show a picture it’s your insurance policy for any stylist.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it hasn’t! The beauty industry is up and down it’s gotten much easier with social media. Everything is out there

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Salon Glo – what should we know?
Salon Glo is a place where u can reinvent yourself or simply just get an ammonia free root touch up a blowout. I’m known mostly for my color/ styles/ cuts. I’m a visual being an can tell by your face shape an veins what color an cut would work best on you

Learn every aspect of your craft. Never stop learning! Customers come first.
