Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Zehnder.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I studied education theory and received my Masters at Columbia University where I became interested in community and adult education. I began working in a homeless youth drop-in center as an outreach worker and then as a case manager in a women and children’s homeless shelter. I recently moved to Cambridge, MA to serve as the Drop-In and Helpline Coordinator at the Cambridge Women’s Center.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It is always challenging to orient yourself to a new a city and state, including the resources offered in a particular area. Luckily, there are a wealth of great resources and community organizations with which to acquaint yourself in the Greater Boston Area.
Cambridge Women’s Center – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
