Claudiane, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started bartending as a way to make ends meet in college. Through that experience, I fell in love with mixology and the appreciation people had for cocktails. After not having bartended for about 3 years, I wanted to find a way to celebrate cocktail mixology in Boston and the surrounding cities.
The concept of manicures and cocktails came randomly. I wish I had a better story but sometimes the greatest ideas fall into your lap without warning and I ran with it. Today I run Nail the Cocktail as a result of it all.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Funding my Instagram can get expensive but I’ve learned to take friends and colleagues along with me to show them what I do and enjoy more cocktails in one outing!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Nail the Cocktail – what should we know?
I see myself as sort of a resource guide for the cocktail scene in Boston. People come to my Instagram to find a place to take a client, enjoy a night out, go on a date, plan their birthday among other things and I love it.
