We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes, it has been a smooth road. It took off the first day we opened the store and hasn’t stopped. We are very fortunate that we have such great customers.
In February 2017 Castleton Pet Supply double the size of their retail location… and in October we started our E-Commerce… SHOP ONLINE offering 6,000 items to purchase for all your pets needs. What were you like growing up?
I was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Pittsfield Massachusetts with 4 Sisters and 1 brother and lots of relatives. I was always very active, brownies, girl scouts, (always sold the most girls scout cookies in my troop). Loved skiing, skating and biking and most of all the ocean. Nothing better than the beach, swimming, walking & sitting on it. I worked retail/advertising most of my life. I was fortunate to work for AT&T (Sales Manager) for 20 years. I was the top 1% in sales in the country 2 years in a row.
I reside in Castleton Vt with my partner Robert Bjorklund, our golden retriever Caitlin and Izzy our Cat.
