Meet Christine Dore Trant in Medford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Dore Trant.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m Christine Dore Trant. I have loved stories from my kiddo bedtime days and Harry Potter-obsessed years. After graduating with an English Literature from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a handful of internships under my belt, I started my career in book publishing here in Boston as an editor.

For the better part of a decade, I helped entrepreneurs, bloggers, CEOs, chefs, bakers, and more tell their stories, grow their platforms, and teach their readers new skills. But I wanted to be a part of the future of stories, so I made a shift into Content Marketing with a local agency with clients around the globe.

I loved seeing the power of stories — how brands could connect with buyers in a way that feels more genuine than old-school advertising. But I missed working one-on-one with people whose businesses I believed in!

I started my business to do just that: serve people who are creating, building, growing, serving, and dreaming BIG! I teach these dreamers and doers how to speak to the hearts of their dream clients and customers, how to share their stories, and how to grow their platforms (and sales) while doing it.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road! There were years in my early career when I wondered if I would ever find the right company, the right position, the right team for me. Turns out, I just needed to create my dream job for myself! It certainly wasn’t easy, and there are still days I worry it won’t pan out (what entrepreneur doesn’t?), but I wouldn’t change a thing.

The days that are long and frustrating are completely overshadowed by the days I become friends with a client, the days I pick up my laptop and work from anywhere, and the days I get emails from past clients about how much their business has grown since working with me.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Christine Dore Trant – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in helping entrepreneurs and small businesses create killer content to grow their businesses by connecting with their dream clients and customers. I do that in two different ways: one-on-one services to define their brand voice, brainstorm content ideas, and edit their content; and digital products, like my Content Creation Collection subscription service, to help them DIY their content creation.

My proudest moments are when I hear from a client that they landed a client they were dying to work with, or that their sales page is bringing in more customers than they even hoped for, or even when they tell me their grandfather finally “got” what it is they do.

Communication is so vitally important to not just our businesses, but our relationships with the people around us — being able to help my clients communicate more clearly, effectively, and efficiently through content creation brings me such joy.

What sets me apart from other content-centered companies is the one-on-one service I provide. I’m not a big agency, because I don’t want to be. I want each and every one of my clients to know they have my full, undivided attention when we work together. Even my digital product customer’s get an “I’m here if you have any questions!” email when they buy from me — they know their purchase comes with my support.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Growing up in Florida, we pretty much have to go to St. Augustine to explore places with history and deep story. In Boston, you can’t go three feet without running into a historic site! I love exploring the amazing stories this city has to offer.

I work from home most days, but once or twice a month I love to schedule myself a “downtown day.” I’ll take the commuter rail in after the morning rush, grab a fancy coffee at the Thinking Cup on Newbury then stroll over the library to work in the Reading Room for a few hours. In the afternoon I might grab something to-go from a spot on Boylston or a food truck and take my lunch into the Public Garden. I’ll take a break from work to read or call to chat with my parents, and watch the Swan Boats or walk around the Common. From there, I’ll slowly make my way back to North Station by working in one of the Downtown Crossing Cafe Nero locations for a while before checking out what’s going on around Government Center (there’s almost always something!). Then I hop back on the commuter rail to head home!

As much as I adore spring, summer, and fall in Boston — each for different reasons — the winters are really tough for me. I’ve been living here for eight years, and I STILL feel like I don’t have all the warm accessories and snow removal strategies figured out. It’s the perfect time for me to head home to Florida for a visit and some defrosting!
