Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrissy Bonadei.
Chrissy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Chrissy Bonadei and I am the owner of Salon Richard Anthony. Many people say it was always a dream of theirs to own a salon but for me, that was not the case. I didn’t realize how much it meant to me until years later. When the opportunity came I took it and ran, my husband TJ, was my biggest supporter. We worked day and night in our little salon trying to make it our own.
I ended up getting two stylists to work with me whom I knew for years and they fit right in, many have come and gone but Jenn and Crystal have been with me from the beginning. Fast forward a few years My husband and I purchased a 200-year-old house and turned it into my dream salon. I could not do what I do without the support of my amazing family and employees.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the main reason I ran with the opportunity was to provide for my family. My husband has a rare disease that impacted our lives traumatically and I knew I had to push for the best life possible.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Salon Richard Anthony – what should we know?
Here at SRA, we are a family here, our location is in a small town. So here you are not just a client. You are our neighbor, a friend or part of our family. That is really special to be a part of. Upton is such an amazing community. We are one of the few salons in the area that use a Healing Hair Care Line. We also specialize in “fashion colors”. Fun purples and blues. Any color of the rainbow. We travel all over the country to perfect our craft.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My Stylists and our commitment to the beauty industry. This is not just our job, this is our life.
