Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Young.
T3 Expo is the general contractor for trade shows and corporate events that reduces the complexity and costs for event managers and exhibitors to grow their events through innovative service, experience and technology.
T3 Expo defines, develops and delivers what is needed for event managers to better manage what exhibitors want and attendees dream. T3’s Eventgineers (our employees) have applied their collective experience to redefine the look and feel of today’s events — whether for associations, corporate events, or one-day tradeshows. T3 Expo has created events that are truly shareable moments using patented technologies, implementing cost savings and creating award winning designs.
The three founders of T3 Expo, Chris Valentine, Nate Derby and Chris Young, knew there was a better way to deliver organizations an amazing experience using creativity and uniquely designed one-of-a-kind events. They embarked on creating that company, and T3 Expo. Today, the company has nearly 100 employees and contracts with large Fortune 500 companies and well-known Associations to produce tradeshows and events all over the world.
T3 Expo starts with a process to define what your goals are for your event. Once those are defined, the pricing is set around specific objectives that need to be accomplished. This allows T3 to offer a unique, no surcharges policy so that you can be confident your show will be on budget. Based on our years of experience with our clients, tailored recommendations are offered specifically to meet your event’s goals.
Everyone at T3 Expo is an Eventgineer ™ — committed to listening to customers and finding a solution that makes their event experience better. Design is a big part of everything they do. It’s in T3’s creative DNA and our process.
T3 Expo’s award winning design team is ready to work with event managers and agencies to make exhibitors happy, and give attendees more than they expect to keep them coming back for more.
Has it been a smooth road?
No! We started on the bottom floor of ‘Success” literally — it was on the sign outside of our first office. After fully draining our savings and taking loans against houses to fund our business, we were about to breathe a sigh of relief after executing a great show for our first Fortune 1000 client. Unfortunately after we executed the show, we were told by the agency managing the funds for the event that they didn’t have any money to pay us. This almost sunk our company. But with the help of friends, family and our belief we were really trying to change an industry we pushed on.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with T3 Expo – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Clients really want to work with a partner, someone who really understands their event. They want unique ideas. They don’t want to worry and sweat the small stuff — that is what T3 Expo does.
T3 Expo gets why our clients worry about things like registration, or tracking boxes, or changing around a design last minute. We infuse technology into everything we do. For example, T3 Expo’s custom counters don’t need tools to assemble. During shipping our six counters fit in the space of one of our competitors. This is one of the ways our designs will save you shipping and labor costs.
Also our Presta™ Magnetic Panel System is a T3 Expo patented technology that allows you to install panels to a 20 foot wall in six seconds, thereby greatly reducing labor costs, and giving our clients the ability to make last minute creative changes if they need to (because life happens!).
The patented technology also allows for rich wraps, textures and seamless graphics to be assembled quickly because it is built on the same standard metal frames that trade show laborers are accustomed to using. With Presta a show can come together in record time that looks great and results in reduced labor costs.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love that we are close to everything. We are close to great design schools, so we have some of the most amazing interns and new graduates that come to work for us. We are close to Boston, a major hub for innovation and tradeshows shows. We are close to New York as well, so we can head down on the train to meet with clients, associations and prospects.
We are located in a place that has a huge warehouse for storage, building, and creating. Our people are the best asset we could have and this is a beautiful place for them to live, work, raise a family and have a life.
