Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris and Nuna Boll.
Nuna started the business in 2011 after getting Junior (an engagement puppy), so she had an excuse to be with him and Cooper all day. After a year and a half of growing the business, Chris was able to quit his engineering job to join Nuna full-time in the dog walking business. And they lived happily ever after…
Has it been a smooth road?
Overall it has been surprisingly smooth. We have steadily grown since 2011 and haven’t took on more than we can handle. We do often work long hours, but we don’t treat it like someone would a traditional job. Animals, especially dogs, are our passion and it is such a rewarding job with all of the love and appreciation, and fun we have with all of our furry friends.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Walk-Ur-Dog story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in dog walking, and also dog boarding. A typical customer would be a dog whose humans are at work during the day, and we make visits to their houses and take them out for some fun, and to give them a break from being home alone. What we are most proud of is our quality of service. Every dog we care for is treated as if they are our own. We spoil all of our dogs as much as we can, and will often take them for longer than we are getting paid for. When looking for team members, we only hire walkers who we are comfortable with going in our own house and walking our own dogs. We feel our staff separates us from others. They are committed long-term to this job, and are all dog lovers.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The dog walking industry is only going to grow. There is so much demand for quality dog walkers. We are constantly getting calls/emails from people looking for a dog walker. We try to take on new dogs when we can, but at times have to turn people away if we don’t have enough staff.

Though I may not have a dog at this current time. I have known Chris Boll and Nuna Boll for well over a decade! They are two of the sweetest most caring people on the earth. There are no two people more loving and qualified to care for your furbaby than them. ❤️❤️
