Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Amaral.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my business a decade ago. I start cleaning with a friend as a part time job and soon realized that could be my full time. I knocked door by door in my neighborhood and surround areas presenting myself, offering my service and giving my card.
I got my first client because of it and cleaned for him for almost 7 years until he move away. After having a few clients I started being referred to family and friends and also I found some other sources as internet to find more clients. After 10 years I’ve learned a lot, my business is growing, a met wonderful people and want to continue this journey helping families and business have a sparkling place to live and work.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can’t say it was a rough road but it wasn’t a smooth one either. I learned many things as I grew my business so of course I made mistakes because I had no experience but I have this positive felling in me and it makes me think that things will always be better and I can always do better. So never give up.
Please tell us about JP Cleaning Service.
My company offers residential and commercial cleaning in the metro west/Worcester and Boston area. After all those years I fell very happy to be known in my community as a company that goes an extra mile to better serve our clients. We work close with them to make sure their needs are met and they are always satisfied with our service. My company is very organized and we take pride in our job. Always being punctual and show up. My teams goes to same houses most of the time so they get to know it very well and it makes easier to do a great job every time.
Last year my company won best of Framingham /Metro west and to know that it was a popular vote that my clients took time to go there and vote for us made me very proud. I was able to work for Thomas Menino at his house and still do and knowing a great men he was and everything he made for Boston makes me really happy to serve his family. Honesty, commitment, respect for my employees and clients makes JP Cleaning a big family.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Family Sunday lunch. It was a great time when all of us get together and celebrate our family. I loved to have all my siblings and our parents talking and laughing all day on Sundays.
