So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Our company started back on April 1st 1990 with one Golden Retriever. When we started we were the only pet services business in the South End and grew into a full time business through word of mouth. Since then we have expanded to a full range of pet services including daycare, walking, over nights and most recently behavioral based dog training.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of our biggest struggles has been finding staff that meets our high expectations for animal care. All of our employees go through an intensive training program, even if they are an experienced pet care provider. We take our jobs extremely seriously and want only the best care for your furry family member.
Fenway Fido and Feline – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our company is a boutique, highly personalized, all inclusive pet care service. We specialize in safety, stimulation, and socialization so every pet has a unique experience every time we care for them. Our training is extremely individualized because we believe that every dog/parent relationship is different. Our training program is very appropriately named D.A.I.T (Dogs Are Individuals Too) and consists of a personalized curriculum created just for you and your dog. Our trainers keep up to date with the most recent ethical behavioral based research, techniques, and products that will make their training as productive and positive as possible.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We define success by having happy animals, both furry and not!
Our goal is to have positive, humane, and high quality lives for the pets and the pet parents who use our services.
