Meet Brett Cary, Derrian and Madzia of Men in Motion Dancers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Cary, Derrian DaAlessio and Madzia Siembab.

Brett, Derrian and Madzia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Men in Motion Male Revue was started in the 80’s by a club owner that wanted to bring women into his club when male dancing first became popular. Later on, it split into 2 groups called The Male Encounter and Men in Motion. Men in Motion has been in Boston ever since doing a variety of nightclubs in the downtown area.

In the late 90s, the owner at that time just stopped booking the show so I took the name and ran with it. Since I took it over the show progressed from Boston to all of New England and now we are expanding all up and down the entire east coast. Men in Motion Male Revue will always be known for being a Boston based company since it’s been branded for over 30 years as that. Men in Motion is in the minds and hearts of thousands of women from the Boston area for so long they just can’t forget it!

We are a professional male burlesque company and will continue to entertain women in the future. We do show every weekend somewhere and we also specialize in doing private home parties for all occasions.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was a rough road but it also was very exciting.

Booking male dancers is an entertainment agency and anyone can start an agency. I’ve had a number of guys break off and try to take my part of the market share. Not to mention the girls can be difficult to deal with in the sense that they want what they want. Nowadays there are more rules. Add alcohol to that and a night that has much more relevance than any other night and I have my hands full. I’m always balancing law and order with a WIDE ARRAY of expectations from the girls. Some girls just want to watch and others want to get a little bump and grind. It’s tough to read what a group of women wants in a matter of 5 minutes.

It can also be competitive. If I don’t do a good show I hear about it, believe me! With Magic Mike coming out the business has grown a lot. On a final note even the guys can be tough to deal with. You HAVE to have a big ego to be a dancer, right? Some are smart, some aren’t so smart but I have to deal with some guys who try to dominate every situation just because… It’s a battle of who knows best. I like to think I know best.. Actually I do know best!! LOL

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Men in Motion Dancers story. Tell us more about the business.
I own Men in Motion Male Revue. When I started the business I was a dancer/owner. Over time I phased out of the dancing and just booked and ran all the shows. I have been through all of the ranks. I started at the bottom and now I’m at the top sorta speak. Men in Motion first and foremost in entertainment and sexiness second. It’s just not a show unless you entertain your audience. It’s a blend of pretty awesome dance move, humor, and shock value.

I’m proud how far my guys have come since the beginning. The talent is what sets up apart from the rest of other groups. Besides Chippendales and the Thunder from Down Under we are up there with the best. Check us out on Tripsavvy – https://www.tripsavvy.com/boston-bachelorette-party-ideas-418638

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the industry just going to a more professional level. Back in the day you could be a solo dancer on stage, wiggle and smile and get away with it. Thanks to Magic Mike the movie the expectations have changed.
