Meet Bob and Lisa Bouley of Fruition Vegan Kitchen in Medford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bob and Lisa Bouley.

For over 30 years, Bob has been working as a chef and Lisa spent those years learning about the healing power of whole foods and the vegan diet. She received her masters of Science degree in human nutrition 19 years ago.

“We opened Fruition because we wanted to offer the Boston area nutritious, delicious food. Fruition demonstrates that you can nourish your body while delighting your taste buds.”

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest challenge is likely working to change the stereotype that vegan food is “rabbit food” and won’t fill you up and satisfy you. However we are helping to set the record straight one person at a time.

Please tell us about Fruition Vegan Kitchen.
Our food is an eclectic blend of entrees, salads, subs and wraps inspired by dishes from around the world. We tried to follow the adage do unto others as you would have others do unto you and serve up to the world that which we would like to receive when we go out to eat. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. We use organically grown ingredients whenever possible and avoid genetically modified products. We do our best to use environmentally friendly compostable and or recyclable materials when single-use items are necessary.

We are proud to be serving up what many consider some of the best vegetarian vegan food in the Boston area. The smiles on customers’ faces say it all when we bring food over to their tables and when they begin to eat and the satisfaction of knowing that we have provided nutritious and delicious food means everything to us.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
We are content with the choices we have made thus far and are constantly modifying what we are doing to find the best means of getting our food to the greatest number of people.

Fruition Vegan Kitchen is one of my most favorite restaurants.Their food is yummy, healthy and beautiful. And, they now offer weekly meal deliveries to local areas. I am so happy to see this interview. They deserve to be well-known.
