Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Kane.
Planet Gymnastics was founded by Bill Kane in 1999 in Acton, MA. Bill has created an environment to meet the needs of today’s youth. The programs are on the cutting edge in education, teaching gymnastics and fitness in many different ways to cater to the individual. We offer programs for all ages and abilities. Since Planet Gymnastics opened we have enjoyed evolving with the times and now offer what we believe is the absolute best system for helping children and teens grow to their own potential at their own pace.
Today’s youth is under greater social pressure than ever before and we understand this and offer them an atmosphere that is respectful, supportive, and caring. Our flexible (we are gymnasts after all) programs improve self-esteem and give them the tools to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While the business aspect always has its challenges such as changes in the economy, the philosophical aspect has always been a smooth one for us as we believe in what we do, and we always have individual’s needs at heart. For this reason, we really love what we do.
Planet Gymnastics – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Planet Gymnastics specializes in the individual and in offering them the chance to be themselves. We are very proud of our ability to allow each gymnast to focus on and showcase their strengths. We are of course proud of our awards, accomplishments, and successes competitively but what we are most proud of is that our kids are always happy and know they are supported. We feel this support, where our accomplishments as a business always take the back seat to the needs and accomplishments of the individuals.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I really cannot pinpoint one particular moment in my career but most of them center around seeing my gymnasts grow and enjoy successful lives both in and out of the gym.
