Meet Bill Blanchette of Mattress Superstore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Blanchette.

Bill, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My Father opened up Mattress Superstore in 1990. We started out renting a small retail store in Peabody MA. My mother use to come into the store a few days a week so my father & grandfather could load up his personal pick up truck with mattresses to deliver.

We grew the business and moved to Revere. We built a bigger store with more stock to supply more customers. We always kept our goal the same offering only good quality mattresses for low prices.

We work hard to serve our customers and have built a reputation with the local community.

We are now proud to announce we will be opening a second location in Brighton MA. Look out Boston, here we come!!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing good in life comes easy. While others see obstacles we see opportunities.

One of the main challenges that we have had has been bringing the store to the online community. Though the process of building our site I have learned a great deal and continue to learn something new every day.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Mattress Superstore story. Tell us more about the business.
We provide good quality mattresses & furniture to our customers with exceptional customer service.

I am proud that I get to come to work every morning knowing I can help some in need.

One of the main differences that set us apart is that we care about the community. We work with a wide range of programs from kids & families in need; to sober homes helping people get on their feet.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I personally believe that if you work hard and do the right thing, luck will find you.
