Today we’d like to introduce you to Bee Hinton.
Bee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always wanted to make people feel so beautiful about themselves. From as young as I can remember. My first job was with Olive Benson of Boston. She taught me to Always Be a perfectionist. There was never room for error.
Throughout the years, I worked for Saks 5th Ave, and on Newbury Street. I never once didn’t want to do what I want to do. This is my passion. When a very unfortunate life event occurred when my son Miles died to play basketball and had a seizure with unknown heart disease, I no longer cared about anything.
The strength I had to get out of bed every day, as a force for me to work even harder. That brings me to where I am now. Working at Sephora has given me the ability to touch more and many faces and women, than ever before. Too give my love, and make them beautiful.
Has it been a smooth road?
I would have to say my biggest and most difficult challenge has been to get out bed every day since my son’s death, and to aspire to be greater, and have the motivation to continue to do what I do. My creative abilities and drive to make everyone I work on to feel gorgeous inside and out are what keep me going.
I never want to stop being better. I want everyone that I touch to know that when they have their makeup done by me, to know that I do what I do because I have such an intense passion for what I do.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Sephore story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in making everyone I for to feel beautiful. I am known for keeping my clients happy and working with influential people. I want to grow each day more and more. I want to be known as someone people always remember from my work.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I want to grow with the growing industry of TV and Fashion. I want my work to be everywhere. I am always with the beauty trends and the evolving industry. I will roll with the punches. The beauty trends will always be changing, as I will be with them.
