Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Campbell.
Barbara, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After college, I started working at a front desk of a hair salon and spa in Wellesley. I loved the atmosphere and decided to go back to school for aesthetics. During that time, I worked for a dermatologist and spa. Then after having children, I settled in Newton working for a med spa. My friends at Vaiani & Clarke Salon offered me a spot downstairs from their main space and I jumped on it. I built my life and work in Newton through my friends, schools, and through the Nonantum Boxing Club, where I have an additional space where I provide wax hair removal services and makeup trials. I am truly in the most amazing place.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
So far since it’s just me it’s been a smooth road.

I specialize in the Hydrafacial, M.D. treatment which exfoliates and hydrates by infusing medical grade products into your skin. Another treatment is the VI Peel. This peel is an intense chemical peel for those who have melasma, hyperpigmentation and acne scaring. I’m also a laser technician which is a popular service for hair removal and photo facials. What sets me apart from others would be my top of the line products, experience, and knowledge of what really works for each unique client and their needs. For me, outstanding service is about making my clients happy and gaining their trust.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan on keeping up with the newest technology in the industry. My biggest goal is to always deliver and follow through for my clients.
