Meet Aubrey Stevens and Nicole Goulet of Two Stylish Sisters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubrey Stevens and Nicole Goulet.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We started making jewelry for fun as kids. As sisters, we’ve always shared a fascination with rocks and gemstones (we spent a lot of time digging for rocks in the yard while we were growing up), as well as a passion for personal style. We realized we could combine all of these into one fabulous thing, and launched Two Stylish Sisters in 2012.

We started small with just a few items that we sold at farmer’s markets, developed friendships with a handful of loyal customers and grew very slowly from there. Over the years, our designs have gotten more sophisticated, and our presence in the Lowell area has grown along with our customer base. We just celebrated our first full year in our workspace& showroom at Western Avenue Studios- it’s been amazing to have space to really showcase our vision, and our fans have a permanent spot to find our jewelry!

Has it been a smooth road?
Any entrepreneur faces struggles daily! One of our biggest challenges has been finding a way to balance our relationship as business partners with our friendship as sisters. Over 6 years, we’ve managed to really improve our communication and know when to just shut up and give each other space. We’ve gone through a lot of trial and error in terms of running our business in general, refining the products we offer, and finding a customer base that loves what we make. We’ve learned so much through this process.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Two Stylish Sisters – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We use quality sterling silver and genuine crystals& semi-precious gemstones to create designs that are sophisticated but a little edgy. We pay close attention to versatility when we design- our jewelry is meant to be layered and will likely look great with pieces you already have at home. Something we’re very proud of is that we’ve curated a vision that people really seem to be responding to- when people walk into our showroom, they get it immediately!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The food and beer scene in our area is amazing. It’s never hard to find a great place to eat and drink in Lowell as well as Boston proper. What we like least about the Boston area is how expensive it is to live here.

Pricing:

  • Earrings $22-32
  • Bracelets $15-40
  • Necklaces $25-125

I’ve been buying TSS jewelry for all the women in my life (and myself of course), for years. Hands-down amazing quality and always get so many compliments on everything I buy. Can’t recommend them enough!
