Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Biggio.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Andrew . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started as a Marine serving in Iraq wanting to raise funds for severely wounded veterans. I would collect twenty dollar donations from VFW posts. Now I operate one of the largest non-profits for severely wounded veterans in New England receiving donations from Fidelity all the way to the U. S. President. Our nonprofit is also in 17 states. We provide brand new cars, recreational needs, and housing modifications to veterans injured in combat
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Many struggles. Dealing with different wounded veterans with pTSd, jealousy of other nonprofits, and competition amongst veterans groups. Also becoming a 501c3
We’d love to hear more about your business.
We fill in where the VA does not. We do not collect salaries and do what other nonprofits are too afraid to do.
What were you like growing up?
I always go go go. Constant trips to the principal’s office. Always interested in military and our countries veterans.
