Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Drinkwater and Steven Cecchinelli.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Steven and I have known each for a long time. I was thinking of opening a hair salon, Steven had owned hair salons before, so we got together an opened Andrea Stevens. When we opened in 2010 we had only 2 employees. We have grown to a staff of 14. We are very blessed to have very talented hairdressers. We are very proud to have a beautiful salon that has a growing clientele.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have, one of the obstacles was we are located, we don’t have a lot of walk ins. Trying to figure out how to advertise. We have learned a lot of running a business in the 8 years we have been opened.
Please tell us about AndreaStevens Hair Design.
Our business does specialize in color. We are always having color classes to keep up with the latest styles and products. We do it all perms, color, waxing, nails, hair extensions and smoothing treatments. We are very proud that we have grown in the short time we have been opened.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is when my aunt would come over on Sundays and I would watch her cut hair on my whole family.
