Meet Amanda Houle of Parenting With a Punch in Greater Boston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Houle.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Amanda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Parenting With a Punch was birthed after what seemed like the longest journey to finding my truth and shining my light in the world. It was time to step into my truth and not hide in the shadows any longer. I moved back to Southern NH where I was born and raised from Brooklyn, NY where I lived for many years. I was forced to relocate having to leave an unhealthy relationship. It broke me to my core to where I did not want to live. My whole world was shattered and having to start over from scratch after working so hard to get to where I was making great money at a job that I loved working with pre-school age children. Struggle after struggle it felt until I finally made the decision to pick myself back up with seeking out specialists and business coaches to help me build my business while re-branding myself several times up until Parenting With a Punch was born in September, 2017. I learned early on in my career that I had a natural gift to reach children and their families. With every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears literally I knew that I was meant to do something bigger. God put me through that brutal experience to build me up and share my story with others. I found my greater purpose in life and that is to serve others. I am honored to work so intimately with families in the comfort of their own home.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth road, hahahahaha far from smooth. I continue to hit roadblocks and when I do I turn around and find another route because I am determined to touch as many families as I can all over the world. I can’t tell you how many times I have gotten knocked down, breathe taken away but through intentionally meditating and surrounding myself with like-minded women specifically, and through as much daily exercise I can manage I get back up every day and try again. It isn’t easy marketing yourself in front of your ideal client and definitely not easy when your stressed wondering how you’re going to pay your bills this month. The thrill, the chase, the hustle and flow is what helps to keep me hungry for more.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Parenting With a Punch story. Tell us more about the business.

My business offers straightforward and nurturing strategies for parents and couples who want more. I mostly work with families who are struggling with their kid’s behavior, parenting on the same page, having difficulty owning their energy, mindset, and behavior, as well as communicating effectively with both their children and spouse or co-parenting which represents the 4 pillars of Parenting With a Punch. My overall mission is to build happy, healthy, families in a thriving environment!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?

I truly believe that hard work pays off and that mindset will get you there. The more you believe in yourself and drown out the noise from all those around you as not everyone will be supportive the better off you are. I believe in divine timing and universal energy. I think what you put out you attract and for me because of these things above “luck” has played in my favor and truth be told many will also tell you that ” luck” has also not been on my side. Perception is the key.
