Today we’d like to introduce you to Alice Stein.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After not getting into medical school, I fell back on the few business classes that I had under my belt from Simmons College. As an immigrant and product of a hardworking matriarchal household, failure was never an option so I jumped into a career in marketing. From startup to global corporations, I worked my way up the corporate ladder and used my extra money to invest in real estate.
Eventually, I built up a portfolio of rental properties, which when the market was ticking upwards sold at profit. As a hobbyist real estate investor, I learned through my own failures and successes and knew first hand why the smart investors outsourced their property management.
I became familiar with Skyline Realty and its CEO, Alex Haidar, many years ago when I first started buying real estate. From there, I developed an extremely strong relationship with the company and in recent years joined forces with Alex Haidar as the company’s COO. My role as COO is responsible for all capital improvement projects for associations and investors. I also spend a lot of time working new clients that include condo owners and other real estate investor. Not to mention continuing to grow Skyline’s investment portfolio in and around Greater Boston.
In the world of real estate services, Skyline has earned a reputation for stepping in and taking on challenging situations, whether it’s a disengaged trustee board, neglected building, and/or difficult insurance or legal matter, we have experience in successfully turning around various challenging circumstances. As a born problem solver (probably stemming from my science background), I wake up each morning and love assisting our clients in whatever challenge they need addressed.
Has it been a smooth road?
Marianne Williamson said it best: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” Life is about finding our deepest strengths in leaning-in to reap the rewards of being on the journey intended to celebrate our deepest talents. Real Estate for me is beyond exciting and getting to where I am today certainly was not easy. It took hard work and many failures, but having good relationships and people to believe in me made all the difference in the world.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Greater Boston offers tremendous real estate opportunities as long as the newcomer is willing to invest significant capital. Real estate in this area comes with a significant price tag and you must have solid relationships to move any needle. That’s why clients prefer to work with Skyline Realty where we have established relationships in all categories of real estate services.
