Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Abdelsamad.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ali . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am also known as “Young Muzzy”. I was born in Alexandria, Egypt but grew up in Central Massachusetts and graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Design. By my senior year, I focused on fashion design, specifically subliminal perception and emotion in fashion. My first line was released on the first day of summer 2017 and was of made up shirts and hats; the entire exclusionary collection sold out over 2 nights! I also design custom made pieces for celebrities. My exclusive tailored work is on my Instagram page and included in the images I am providing. My next line is coming out Fall 2018 and is inspired by my deep thoughtful appreciation of the collision of emotion and psychology in fashion. My clothing is intricately designed and tailored to empower the dresser to perceive regality and powerful sovereignty. I am confident I will be one of the biggest fashion designers in the world one day.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being a creative and an entrepreneur is not easy. Months of sleeping at 4AM on my laptop keyboard, networking, and traveling to all coasts of the country is part of the game…but recreating the fashion design process and being the only designer to approach it in my perspective was one my biggest obstacles.
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Young Muzzy Design story. Tell us more about the business.
Young Muzzy – ‘The Highest’ is a brand unlike any other. My clothing takes time and effort to design, using psychology, and stimulating the subconscious of the dresser. That is something no other fashion designer does. Focusing on inward energy rather than just outward energy has never been done by a fashion designer before, and I am receiving more and more recognition for this as time goes. To be able to wear a piece that instantly makes you feel confident, whether physically or mentally is incredible, and I’m glad I’ve discovered how to do it. I am also known for creating very rare and exclusive 1/1 pieces for celebrities in the spotlight. My upcoming collaborations with some of the most trending Boston fashion designers will blow the roof and push me to the top.
