Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Iby.
Alex, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always been interested in art as long as I can remember. All through school, I was always filling up my notebooks with drawings rather than notes. Art always seemed to be the only thing that ever held my full attention. I picked up a camera for the first time about 3 years ago and from the moment I took my first picture I was hooked. Photography became a way for me to create art instantly, wherever I was, which was exactly what I needed.
I am currently shooting quite frequently with many different models in the area. I specialize in creative portraits, fashion shoots, weddings, engagements and a few other categories.
I wake up everyday happy with what I do and I couldn’t ask for anything more than that.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It surprisingly has been a smooth road for me. However, I could be biased with this answer because anything revolving around the world of photography I love. I do my best at every moment with everything I do and I believe, this is why I have been able to create such great results.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Alex Iby story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a freelance photographer/videographer/graphic design artist. I specialize in photography for the majority of my work. Occasionally I spend time working on video and graphic design.
I am known for my portraits, engagement photos, fashion shoots and adventure photos.
What makes me most proud is when I see my client’s face light up when seeing the final product. When someone is genuinely satisfied with my services, I am happy as can be.
What sets me apart from others is, I am not just another photographer. I really take it seriously when listening to my clients needs/wants. I take the time to get to know them and make them feel comfortable. Because when you understand who the person is, you can create images that reflect them in a much clearer way.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in cause and affect/action and reaction/karmic values. I believe that if you do your best at something and put your full effort, focus, intent into it, you will yield the appropriate result. If you put your best energy into something, it is only possible for great energy to bounce back and come full circle.
