Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Kurtzman.
Natalie, please share your story with us.
My sister, Laura Chassaigne and I created The Boston Day Book in 2013. At The Boston Day Book, we write about food, travel (regional and international), art, beauty and city life with kids. We love highlighting interesting events happening around town as well as local business owners and makers.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course not! In the beginning, it was really a hobby…. with lots of long hours and hard work. We redesigned our blog in 2014 and once we had a refreshed look, we began working with various partners. Working for yourself always presents challenges and it’s a lot of hustle, but we love the freedom it allows us. At the end of the day, we only publish content that we are proud of and we choose to work with brands that are aligned with our vision. We are both moms and are able to spend half of our time with our kids, which is important to us as well.
Please tell us about The Boston Day Book.
We produce content on our blog (we post 4x a week) as well as our social channels. We also collaborate with other companies by providing guest posts and material for their blogs.
Who have you been inspired by?
First and foremost, my mom inspires me every day. She is such a hard worker and she is so always doling out great advice. She doesn’t worry about the little things and is always taking time to remark in the miracles and small moments of life. She is a huge inspiration to me as a mom and woman.
I am inspired by my two sisters who are courageous, strong and creative. They are always true to themselves and are my best friends.
