Life and Work with June Auditore

Today we’d like to introduce you to June Auditore.

Thanks for sharing your story with us June. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I truly believe there are no accidents in life…we are given numerous paths that lead us to present day. The path I chose to take in June of 1987 change the course of my life. Prior to 1987 I was in the Computer Industry excellent in my title as a System’s Analyst with a very lucrative salary. I was active in the fitness industry as early as 1978. I “loved” helping others achieve their fitness goals. An opportunity to open my own fitness facility was presented to me early 1987, I did my “homework” looked into what it would take to open up my on fitness studio. I got AFAA certified as a fitness instructor/fitness trainer. June of 1987 I opened my first of many fitness facilities, it’s been 31 years and I have never looked back. I have had multiple fitness studios at the same time, I have had a large gym with a fitness studio and presently a scale down model. In 2014 I made a conscious decision to work in a scaled down model, people ask why? Much wisdom has been acquired in my 31 years from success’s and failure’s, in some opinions people may “think” bigger is better, you’ll have more clientele, much broader audience and more money will flow in. I have found that to be true, but with a large fitness model… services you offer tend to get water down. Having a scaled down fitness model assures me that all my clientele are being served with excellence.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worthwhile is ever easy if it was, everyone would be successful. You have to know deep in your being that this is what you love to do. When things get difficult, which they will you need to dig deep and hang on! Being self-employed fitness trainer is yes fun, but not easy, the business/financial end which you must strategically plan is always is evolving. Your business model should and will always changing, knowing that is going to happen and plan is vital. What works today may not work 5 years from now. Know how much your time, knowledge and experience is worth, and then DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR IT! Your hourly rate has to include a percentage for liability insurance, equipment upgrades and maintenance, vacation time, sick time and health insurance.

Please tell us about B-Fit with June.
I am a certified trainer, fitness instructor and life coach. I am known to have the ability to meet people where they are physically and emotionally, in any walks of life. I’m able to provide them with the tools to be successful in whatever they want to achieve. Due to my 31 years of experience and education I am able to tell what your physical imbalances are by just watching you walk and performing a few functional movements. I create my fitness programs around your specific goals and also by what your weaknesses and strengths. That is something you don’t usually get in a big chain or a big box fitness facility.

I limit my small group training to maximum of 5 clients and that for me, is the maximum number I can watch at the same time to make certain everyone is demonstrating perfect form for every movement. Most of my business is one to one training, in Functional Training, Cardio health, Muscle growth and or toning, Flexibility training, Pilates, Balance Training, Agility Training and I am also a certified Life Coach. What sets me apart from other is I view people as a “whole” not just the fitness piece. I strive for you to find a balance in the fitness, nutrition, and the emotional pieces. There are no generic programs, I work on all aspects that make up you being you… I love helping others achieve their personal and fitness goals.

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
I was taught at an early age character and integrity were worth more than money, but also how to plan financially in my personal life or in my business life for the future. Meeting me now, you would never have said I was shy…ask my cheer leading coach; I would freeze in front of a big crowd, throw off the timing of the whole routine, I was so embarrassed. I persevered and was able to move pass that fear. Everyday is not a walk in the park, but everyday that I’m able to do what I love…it’s a GREAT DAY!
