Today we’d like to introduce you to Giovanna Guzman.
Giovanna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey began about 3 years ago when I decided to not only live and progress but to live a life filled with purpose. I began to visualize where it was wanted to be in life the very minute I decided to move from Boston to Puerto Rico…on that beautiful island is where I found myself seeking for more. Going to PR alone took me from the land of familiar to unfamiliar, and I can say with conviction is shaped who I am today. I had to eventually come back to Boston to pursue what I thought would be my sociology major only to find out my true passion lied in social media marketing. I began associating myself around amazing individuals, sought out fulfilling opportunities and came across my current business which allows me to teach others how to make their dreams come true and accomplish their bucket list items on their current budget and time frame, while also creating a passive income and building leadership around the city.
Due to my passive income I am able to privately build social media platforms but most importantly I do what I love to do on my time and only my time.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has by no means been a smooth road. I would go as far as saying it’s been filled with pot holes and speed bumps! I particularly struggled with loneliness, not because I didn’t have a lot of friends or because I had no family or because no one cared about me. On the contrary I’ve always been the most popular person within my group of friends and family. I felt lonely because not many people around me thought the way I did, had passion the way I had passion, dreamt big and had big ambitions…. therefore I felt alone on my journey because I had no one to relate to. My best advice to anyone is to follow your dreams, LITERALLY follow them. Walk in every direction your dream takes you, listen to those who have what you’re looking for and know who to take advice from. Do not buy anyone’s opinion unless you want their lifestyle. People will always create a world much smaller for you than you would create for yourself. You have the power to make ANYTHING happen, but you must first believe it.
Do not desist until you find, when you find, you will be troubled, when you are troubled you will marvel and from there on you will reign over the universe.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with CHGio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
First and foremost I don’t work, I live! I love what I do and in turn live for what I love!
My daily money making activity revolves around travel (yes I make money traveling and show other how to do so as well), leadership and social media marketing.
I am known for always finding the good in everything and having a lot of energy!
I’m most proud of being able to change lives, being able to guide and teach other’s how to achieve their goals. Teaching others how to live a life of freedom, fun and fulfillment has been a blessing.
I’d say what sets me apart is my passion, conviction, resilience and desire to out work everyone.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
I would say the biggest barrier over all is the lack of self-belief. There is no bigger mountain than the one of self-doubt. If only we used all the energy we use in convincing ourselves that we aren’t capable enough towards fueling our fire we’d be the best of the best!
