Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Glady Sanda.
Gabriella, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have been using Instagram for almost 6 years. I usually post the picture when I was on my vacation since I love to travel, but I currently my content in Instagram more focus on lifestyle and fashion. I had no background in the fashion industry until I decided to start my own platform dedicated for fashion blogger around Boston and Massachusetts area. January 2018 is my biggest step to build this platform on social media Instagram @ootdbostonian and it currently has more than 2,200 followers with up to 4,000 hashtag #ootdbostonian. Also, I am working with my partner Raissa and Irene. Since its growing, I had a big chance of working and meet awesome people based in Boston such a founder of the local brand and influencer based in Boston.
After graduated from my master, I worked with a website startup company for six months as a strategic development, but because of my passion for fashion, I’m starting my own journey working with a retail company in Boston. I am still working and focusing on what I’ve done right now, so far, I enjoyed the process fo learning new things and develop @ootdbostonian also my personal brand. My personal Instagram currently has more than 10K followers which are a really big step for me to branding myself as well.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would say time and visa issue is the biggest struggles that I have. I currently working full time in the retail industry and do @ootdbostonian as a part-time job and also, I’m building my personal brand on my own Instagram. Somehow, I am very grateful for having people that really support what I am doing right now. I believe that everyone has their own problem but its the way you solve the issue and how you face it. Talked to someone you trust and tell them how you feel it might help. Also, take your own time and relax by doing something you like it also can help you. Give yourself space and if you fail, try again. You can learn from your mistake and it will make you become a stronger person.

It’s a content creator where you have to build your own content and personalize your own pages. I’m graduated with my Master in International Business and had an accounting degree from my bachelor. I am also building my personal brand and dedicate my time worked for @ootdbostonian. It’s a platform for fashion blogger around Boston and Massachusetts area and currently, we also connect with local brand/designer in Boston. We want to connect them together build fashion community in Boston. In my current job in the retail industry, I work as a sales assistant and their style crew.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve benefited from using?
There a lot of people who inspire me such as Victoria Beckham (businesswomen, model, fashion designer, and singer), Eva Chen (director of fashion partnership at Instagram), Anna Wintour (Editor in Chief Vogue). Also, my favorite bloggers on Instagram are @songofstyle, @camilacoelho, and @anazsiantar. One thing that I learned from them you have to be original for your content. Believe it or not, good things take time and try harder. Set your goals and make a plan.
