Conversations with the Inspiring Tina Marie Celona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Marie Celona.

Tina Marie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been the “crafty” one for as long as I can remember! Every time someone needed something written or help with any kind of creative project – they called me! It is something I have been doing, and have been passionate about, for such a long time. When my sister was decorating the nursery for my niece, she had me make a floral “O” to hang over her crib & that is when the actual business was born. I started posting & sharing all the custom signs & wreaths I was asked to make & it took off from there!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Is any road smooth? I guess there haven’t been TOO many bumps along the way, but everything is trial and error. My advice is talk to other people who love what you love. There are a ton (& I mean A TON) of talented people I follow and talk to on Instagram about their work. It is such a great way to learn! My second bit of advice is to take pictures. Not only to post & share your talent but sometimes it helps to see how something photographs! Lastly, share everything you do with your friends & family – they will always be your #1 supporters – I know mine are!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Tina Marie Designs story. Tell us more about the business.
I make custom… EVERYTHING. Wreaths, holiday & home decor, restaurant menus – you name it, I’ll make it! I really enjoy making signs & seating charts (wood, mirror & chalkboard) for events & weddings. I love working with brides and people celebrating something special. I think what makes me the proudest is seeing how happy someone is with the final result of what I’ve made for them. I talk to everyone every step of the way and really help them feel at ease with the creative process. They have plenty of other stuff to worry about – this is the fun stuff!

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
You are never too young or too old to start something new. Keep an open mind & talk to as many people you can. The learning never, ever stops.
