Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Cook.
Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always been a sentimental person. I think everybody, deep down, wants to know where they come from. They want to know the story of their life. Photography helps us celebrate our relationships and our life. I started telling my own babies stories through photography and wanted to help other families tell theirs as well.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think with any business there are struggles. Some of my struggles were to find money for equipment, education to perfect my craft then comes self-doubt, like, will people actually pay me for my craft. I believe if you are passionate about something that passion will resonate in others. You find your people. The people that value you and believe the same things are important. Wait for your people.
What should we know about Tiffany Cook Photography? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a portrait photographer based out of southern NH. About 30 min. north of Boston. I specialize in children and families. I have two toddlers at home and love celebrating the imaginations of little wild ones all over. My clients often tell me what sets me apart is my ability to pose them in positions that feel natural and show their love and commitment to each other as well as keeping kids (and Dads) engaged and interested in the session.
Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
Don’t judge yourself too harshly. Don’t compare yourself or your work. Reflect back on how you’ve grown for inspiration. Surround yourself with women who lift you up.
