Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Meade.
Danielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My real estate career started 13 years ago in Boston. I had just moved to the big city from a tiny town in NH called South Hampton (population 1,400).
I fell in love with all the history and beautiful architecture of the buildings and homes in the city. I knew I was good with people, negotiating and networking so I wanted to tie it all together with my love for the city… so landed in Real Estate, all my passions rolled into one crazy profession.
I began with just some smaller sales and rentals in the city. When I was tapped on the shoulder to work a developer selling Luxury Condominiums in a new development. This is a dream job in RE, I sold multiple luxury developments ranging from South Boston to the Seaport selling up to 92 condos in one Luxury Development.
Once my final development was sold out and we moved out of the city to Wayland, MA, I began looking for a Luxury Firm with a presence, Benoit Mizner Simon was the perfect fit. Since making this move my business has exploded in the best way possible. I especially like working with buyers making the transition from the city to suburbs (#urbantosuburnban), it’s like being a matchmaker of sorts… helping them find the home they love and then connecting them with the town itself.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In Real Estate there are always ups and downs… the lows are LOW and the highs are high. It is part of what I love about the business, in the end, you get back what you put in. I love a good challenge so when the lows it, it gives me a little extra drive and motivation.
I would suggest working with a great broker when you are starting out, someone you can trust and can learn from.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Danielle Meade Realtor- Benoit Mizner Simon story. Tell us more about the business.
Working in the Metro West and mainly Wayland, Weston, Sudbury and Wellesley Luxury Real Estate is the main focus. The average sales price is $1,00,000+ depending on the town. I love seeing all the detail and love that is put into the homes from the current owner and finding just the right buyer for the property. I have been moving buyer and sellers from Urban to Suburban for over 7 years since I left the city.
I work hard for my clients, previewing listings for them to weed out the bad or even trying to fend off the market deals to try and avoid bidding wars. Since I was on the debate team in college, I love negotiating for my clients.
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Getting referrals and recommendations from people you know and trust is the ABSOLUTE best way to find a mentor. You want to find someone who you have similar views and ethics as you but is also very ambitious and can show you how to build your business with the vision you see for it.
