Check out Ron Phillips’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Phillips.

Ron, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I got into photography in 2004. I traded in my sketchpad for a Canon Rebel XT DSLR and quickly fell in love with digital photography. In the early days of my photography, I explored film photography, but I didn’t pursue it. I began to hone my craft in digital photography. The digital world of photography made it easy to create imagery. The reason why it made it easier, is that I had full control over what I was creating. This now made photography a workable medium, similar to sketching my ideas on paper. After discovering this I completely switched from sketching to photographing.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My photography is an expression of what makes me happy at any given moment. Art is how we feel about what we are seeing at any given time, whether we photograph it or paint it.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
I believe in some aspects it has become harder for artists to express themselves without limitations. Cities and towns should make it easier and safer for artists to express themselves.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
The public can see my work at Ron Phillips Photography, Facebook, and Instagram. As well as RonPhillipsPhotography.com.

Ron is a very talented photographer. He is kind, patient and very knowledgable and an excellent instructor. He wants nothing more than to help you be a better photographer. I have been a big fan of Ron’s work for years now. Time spent with Ron on a photo walk is time and money well spent. Check out his wok for sure. You will be inspired.
