Check out Pat Bassermann’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pat Bassermann.

Pat, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I became a dad on May 2, 2015 to our beautiful daughter, Daniella. And then a couple years later was blessed with two identical twin girls, Siena & Camilia. I was eager to chronicle my navigation through the complex and often confusing world of Fatherhood. I have toyed with the idea of starting a blog for some time, but then always had something that would get in the way (this happens a lot when you have kids). Eventually, my wife and I decided that I should adapt to Fatherhood first and foremost, then blog about my experience once we were in a little bit of a better place. Even when I told her one night that I was working on launching the blog she asked me “You’re really doing that”. I feel being a Father is the most important job bestowed upon a man and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to document my progress and give Daniella and the twins something to look back on later in life.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Maybe build a community of fathers and others who can share some of their own experiences. I’ll provide my little victories and epic fails. I’ll try my best to answer questions and give product reviews, so please do get in touch, join the conversation, share Dad hacks and subscribe to the mailing list. Remember, nobody’s perfect, we all make mistakes. I hope to have some fun with this, learn a thing or two and maybe even offer some insight to other dads.

Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
It is a crazy world that we live in. While almost any man can father a child, there is so much more to the important role of being dad in a child’s life. I think it is important to show the fun side of being a dad especially to three girls!
