So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
With a lifelong love of entertaining, I’m happy to own a business that lends to my passions and enables me to help others create and enjoy the most important events in their lives. I love personalizing experiences thoughtfully, being wildly creative and connecting with wonderful people. In 2008 I launched my wedding and destination event planning business in New York City. I’ve worked with clients literally around the world and am thrilled my personal love story has allowed me to expand my business in Boston and throughout New England.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I love entrepreneurship and am thrilled I found my calling when I did. Owning my own business has been such a blessing. It has allowed me to be present in my life and given me the flexibility to have a much needed balance personally and professionally. Moving from New York to Massachusetts led to a shift of my professional development. The change opened many doors and created immeasurable opportunities, however establishing my business in a new demographic, while maintaining its presence in New York City, has been challenging.

Tammy Golson Events has been planning weddings and special events professionally since 2008. This boutique event planning firm continues to plan weddings and events worldwide. While maintaining a strong presence in New York City, we are thrilled to grow our client base in Boston and throughout New England.

With teams in Massachusetts and New York, we cater to clients planning milestone events that celebrate their love and lives while thoughtfully acknowledging their relationships with family and friends. With priority placed on culture, quality food, the overall aesthetic and the personalized details, we are inspired by incorporating our clients’ stories into the design of their weddings and events.

Boston Beloved is a carefully curated community of wedding and lifestyle professionals. It takes a village and I love partnering with talented, creative and quality companies.

Bridal Liaison is a service that has been designed for international clients who are getting married close to home. The local bridal resources at “home” are limited, therefore they are motivated to shop for designer bridal gowns, wedding accessories and custom bespoke invitations and paper items in New York City.

Growing up in the Midwest, having lived abroad briefly, launching and growing my business in New York City and planting roots in Massachusetts fosters a wonderful mix of inspiration and motivation. Living in a variety of places has shaped my personality, vision, values and work ethic, giving me a unique edge that helps me connect with a wide range of clients and vendors and nurture those relationships sincerely. I look forward to bringing inspiration from all corners of my life to each event I plan. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed exploring Boston, the surrounding seaside communities and the many hidden treasures throughout New England. I welcome the opportunity to bring a fresh perspective to local clients and those looking to make New England the location of their destination wedding.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to grow the number of destination weddings I plan each year. Maine, for example, is a beautiful state and a perfect location for couples interested in hosting a destination wedding. There are many charming and historical venues in Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and The Berkshires.
