Meet Geraldine of Style Your Threads in Marblehead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geraldine.

Geraldine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I worked in the costume department in theaters and always liked to help friends and co-workers put outfits together either for a special occasion or everyday wear. I love shopping, I always look for the perfect item and learned from my mother at a young age that clothes don’t need to be expensive to look good! I started Style Your Threads with the idea that anyone can look good no matter what the budget is, and that a fashion stylist and personal shopper is not only for the rich and famous.

Because looking your best doesn’t need to be expensive!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course, nothing is easy!

But I’m grateful the business is growing. To me, it’s always been about making my clients happy with their look. The obstacles made me stronger and gear in the right direction.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Style Your Threads specializes in fashion styling, wardrobe management, and personal shopping. Many people come to me asking me to visit their closet and suggest what’s missing or that there is too much of or lack of. Style Your Threads will guide clients towards the right look, staying on whatever their budget is. I am also fluent in French and Spanish.

Because looking your best doesn’t need to be expensive!

What were you like growing up?
I was born in France and grew up in Mexico. My parents traveled a lot. My dad was an artist. Colors, fabrics, different lifestyles, people, cultures were a huge part of my interests.

I loved shopping in different areas with my mother and seeing what people liked to wear in all the places we lived and visited. I was always into fashion, dressing up, expressing myself thru my clothes …..
