Please tell us about your art.
I have always been driven to capture the beauty around me since childhood. I remember when I saw a set of oil paints abandoned in my attic. I was fascinated by them and felt I must learn how to use them well! I believe artwork should enrich people’s lives and I’m honored when asked to capture the fleeting nature of life with a portrait of a child or paint an adult for a special occasion gift.

By painting a lovely scene in Boston or other inspiring place such as Martha’s Vineyard or Paris I wish to bring a deep sense of satisfaction to our lives. People are moved to tears by my paintings, including when presented with my portraits for gifts, and this is to be the ultimate goal— to reach people on a very deep level.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
I think the instant world of social media has taken a bit from fine art work—as non-artists see so much online they can be saturated with images, but on the flip, side there has never been an easier time for artists to share their work and that is a huge blessing to us all. We follow each other and support each other, and no question—that is a beautiful thing.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
People can see my up to date artwork on Instagram and on my websites.
