Meet Rina Sorrenti of Rina’s Studio in Wellesley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rina Sorrenti.

Rina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started working when I was 11. Always knew at a young age I wanted to never depend on anyone for money. I decided to not go to college and just work. I then went to beauty school and found my way to Newbury street. That is where my clientele grew. I knew I wanted to be my own boss so 2 yrs. later that happened. I’ve now been doing this for 16 years and 13 years a business as an owner.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would say my struggles were more based on fear and taking risks. After 7 great years on Newbury street I decided to move my business to Newton, once that lease was up after 6 years I moved to Wellesley. With every move is a risk of losing clients but I’ve gained so many more that is was worth it.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Rina’s Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Rina’s Studio is a brow shaping, body waxing business. I take it very seriously and am proud of that. Every client that walks in, I make sure they are comfortable and happy when they leave. I get to work 2.5 hrs. early to make sure my wax is perfectly heated. I also take pride in never running late. I don’t take clients that are really late, it’s not fair to my other clients so I kindly ask to reschedule. My clients have been with me for over 10 years and I’m happy to call them my friends. I love my job.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
For now, I will stay put and eventually would love to learn more. Maybe microblading or laser hair removal. No big changes.

Rina is superb she does all she says and more. She is kind and funny and the time passes so quickly not to mention she is a perfectionist. She is great with young kids as well who need to get waxed. She makes some awkward moments less intimidating and she is an honest honest business woman.
    I recommend her to all..

Rina is so deserving of all accolades. She is professional, warm person with a great sense of humor. What could be better when you are getting a bikini wax? I have been going to Rina for at least 15 years, and cannot speak more highly of her!
