Meet Patricia Klemm of Klemm’s Bakery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Klemm.

Patricia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up working in my father’s bakery in Belmont Mass. He taught both my sister Linda and myself how to bake and cake decorate. My uncle had a bakery in New Hampshire where our summer house was located. We eventually moved up to New Hampshire and Linda and I took over his bakery while my brother took over my Dad’s bakery in Belmont. We have been here for 17 years and get voted best Donuts in NH every year. We strive to keep all the old fashion recipes as close as possible to which we grew up making. Thanksgiving is coming up and we have about 20 different kinds of pies as well as fresh dinner and pecan rolls. Christmas time we make gingerbread houses, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, Mini pastry platters. We are open 7 days a week at 6 am -7 pm.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a pretty smooth road we have a lot of family help for the busy times.

Klemm’s Bakery – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We bake 7 days a week. We come in at 1 am and starting making the donuts so they are fresh when we open at 6 am. We get alot of different awards for best donuts and bakery in New Hampshire. We offer of 40 different kinds of donuts all hand cut.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Receiving awards for best donuts!!!!
